The Ohio Crime Prevention Association (OCPA) has been awarded a statewide training initiative through federal funding from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services, entitled Terrorism Awareness and Prevention (TAP). This statewide training initiative will be used to train law enforcement officers and first responders throughout Ohio to be presenters of the TAP program at the local level.
The TAP Program is designed to:
-
provide residents with critical information on terrorist goals and threats;
-
demonstrate how residents may better protect themselves through safety and security planning;
-
build partnerships with residents, law enforcement, first responders and community service providers, and
-
identify ways Ohioans can actively participate in creating safer neighborhoods and communities.
